Become a vital part of Hecla Mining Company as a Health and Safety Specialist at the Keno Hill operation in Canada. Your focus will be on developing and implementing safety policies in a remote, fly-in, fly-out work site.

Reporting to the Health and Safety Supervisor, this key role is integral to improving safety systems and promoting a secure culture at Keno Hill, one of the highest-grade silver districts globally. Your responsibilities will include workplace inspections, auditing risk controls, and participating in training programs. You will also work closely with a dedicated team to foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and report on safety performance indicators
• Conduct thorough workplace inspections and audits




• Develop and implement health and safety training programs
• Facilitate site orientations and maintain training records
• Engage in job hazard analysis and coach employees

Requirements:
• 1-5 years of mining industry experience
• Knowledge of OHS legislation required
• Underground Mine Rescue experience is an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean abstract
