About Us Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Hybrid Senior Guidewire Developer for a full-time permanent opportunity. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to a key strategic initiative focused on building and enhancing insurance solutions using Guidewire technology. This role can bee filled in: Toronto, Mississauga or Guelph (2 days/week on-site).

Position Summary The Senior Guidewire Developer will design, develop, configure, integrate, and enhance insurance solutions using Guidewire PolicyCenter. The successful candidate will work closely with solution designers, technology partners, internal and external IT teams, vendors, and project management to translate business and technical requirements into high-quality solutions. This role will involve Guidewire configuration and workflow development, system integrations, technical analysis, solution design, testing, implementation planning, and ongoing technical collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring strong Guidewire expertise, a team-oriented mindset, and an interest in evaluating and applying emerging technologies, including AI tools.

Key Responsibilities Build and enhance insurance solutions using Guidewire PolicyCenter
Configure Guidewire PolicyCenter and develop process workflows
Integrate Guidewire solutions with existing enterprise systems and develop new functionality
Customize out-of-the-box Guidewire features to meet solution requirements
Develop high-quality code, perform unit testing, and follow established development standards




Work closely with Solution Designers and technology partners to translate requirements into cohesive technical plans
Evaluate technologies and technical options to determine appropriate solutions
Perform technical analysis and formulate application design and program logic
Collaborate with internal and external IT teams, vendor partners, and project management to ensure effective communication and timely, high-quality deliverables
Contribute to and lead implementation, back‑out, and disaster recovery planning
Support solution testing and troubleshooting activities
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members
Evaluate emerging technologies and tools, including AI‑enabled development tools, where appropriate

Required Qualifications Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
5+ years of experience in the IT industry
Strong Guidewire development experience
Guidewire PolicyCenter development and configuration experience
Experience with Guidewire integrations and APIs
Experience working with multiple lines of insurance business, such as home, auto, and property
Strong understanding of software development, technical analysis, and application design
Experience with system integration and enterprise applications
Experience with unit testing and software quality practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills




Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively with technical teams, solution designers, vendors, and project stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications Guidewire PolicyCenter certification(s)
Guidewire Integration certification or experience
Guidewire ClaimCenter or BillingCenter experience
Guidewire cloud experience
Prior software testing experience
Hands‑on experience with AI development tools
Experience developing implementation, back‑out, and disaster recovery plans
Experience mentoring developers or leading technical initiatives
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and learn new technologies

Compensation Salary Range: $60.00 - $75.00 / hour
