JOB DESCRIPTION The Driver will be responsible for providing excellent customer experience to all FreshPoint customers by delivering to customer sites in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. This includes safe operation of company vehicles, secure delivery of goods from vehicle to designated customer storage areas and providing resolution to customer inquiries.
Shift Schedule - 06:00 a.m. - 02:30 p.m.
Pay Range :- $ 25.50/hr
Duties & Responsibilities Establish positive relationships with FreshPoint customers by providing excellent customer service through timely and accurate delivery of products, answering customer queries, and providing resolution to delivery-related issues.
Escalate customer concerns directly to supervisor.
Accurate delivery of products as per established routes, schedules, and customer invoices.
Safely deliver goods from delivery vehicle via hand, hand cart or pallet, and place in designated customer storage areas.
This may include transporting products downstairs, ramps, docks or elevators in all weather conditions.
Maintain cleanliness of assigned equipment and company vehicle.
Meeting defined benchmarks for route completion.
Accurately maintain a daily trip log notating information as prescribed.
Adhering to all Preferred Work Methods and Standard Operating Procedures.
Understand, uphold and company with Sysco’s policies and procedures, e.g. health and safety, returns etc.
Initiate process of issuing credit to customers by providing all relevant information required to appropriate stakeholders.
Complete pre-trip and post trip inspections of delivery equipment and MHE.
Escalate mechanical issues, order discrepancies and delivery delays to supervisor and ensure photographic evidence are included to substantiate claims.
Provide feedback or information on areas of opportunity to streamline or increase efficiency on route schedules or customer base.
Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.




Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
Physical Requirement Frequent physical efforts required including lifting of up to 60+ lbs while walking up/downstairs and loading docks. Exposure to indoor and outdoor working conditions with varying weather conditions and temperatures. 70-80% driving which requires sitting for long periods of time.
Experience Previous experience working in a warehouse, distribution or manufacturing position considered an asset. Minimum 3 years experience operating a vehicle with a clean driving abstract.
Education High School Diploma. Post secondary education considered an asset. Class 3 License with clean Driver’s Abstract and clear Criminal Record Check.
