Join Regina General Hospital’s Mental Health team as an Addictions Counsellor. Play a critical role in assisting patients with substance use issues in a energetic inpatient environment.

The position focuses on assessing individuals presenting with substance-related challenges and collaborating on treatment plans. You will provide short-term support, manage crisis situations, and ensure seamless connections to community resources. A key aspect of the role involves knowledge of addiction recovery models and effective communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
• Evaluate clients' needs for substance use treatment
• Create and implement safety plans for crisis situations
• Facilitate referrals for ongoing recovery services




• Maintain thorough knowledge of MHAS services
• Work collaboratively in a diverse team environment

Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work or acceptable Chemical Dependency diploma
• Familiarity with the Saskatchewan Model of Recovery Services
• Proficient written communication skills
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle
• Capable of engaging with clients from various backgrounds
