About the Role
Our HomeShare Manager is responsible for working directly with our individuals, theirfamilies and CLBC to assist in the coordination of funding and residentialsupport for individuals who live in a home share environment. This position isresponsible for ensuring that the individuals’ physical, emotional, social,vocational and health needs are met. In addition, our leaders partake inregional committees and local community initiatives, such as Community LivingMonth events. This is an opportunity to develop your leadership social serviceskills and build community capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overallleadership, supervision, and operational oversight for all Home Share locationsacross Vancouver Island.
Conduct regularin-person visits to Home Share locations, with daily travel to various sitesacross Vancouver Island required.
Monitor thequality, safety, and effectiveness of support provided in each Home Shareenvironment and ensure services meet organizational and regulatory standards.
Build andmaintain strong working relationships with individuals supported, families,Home Share providers, CLBC representatives, and other community partners.
Provide guidance,coaching, and ongoing support to Home Share providers to ensure person-centeredand quality service delivery.
Coordinate andmonitor individualized support plans to ensure each individual’s physical,emotional, social, vocational, and health needs are being met.
Respond to andfollow up on incidents, concerns, and changes in individuals’ needs, ensuringappropriate documentation, reporting, and follow-up are completed.
About You
Qualifications:
Post-Secondaryschool certificate, diploma or degree in social services is required. Acombination of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum 2 years’Service Area Experience (i.e., Social Services)
Experience in a management or supervisory role an asset
Proficient in MSoffice products, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Current First AidCertification
TB Test
SatisfactoryCriminal Record Check
Valid Class 5Driver’s Licence
Use of personalvehicle required (business insurance with $3 million liability coverage)
Skils:
Strongleadership, communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Demonstratedability to work effectively with individuals with diverse support needs,families, Home Share providers, CLBC, and community partners.
Strongorganizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multipleHome Share locations, priorities, and deadlines.
Strongproblem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills.
Abilities:
Abilityto work independently, exercise sound judgment,
and respond effectively tochanging or urgent situations.
Abilityto maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
Abilityto build trust and provide coaching, guidance, and constructive feedback toHome Share providers.
ValidClass 5 driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle, with the ability totravel extensively between Home Share locations across Vancouver Island.
WorkingConditions:
Thisis a mobile, field-based position requiring regular and frequenttravel to Home Share locations across Vancouver Island.
Ca
dailytravel between multiple Home Share sites is required, with the ability to workindependently in various community and residential settings.
Workinvolves regular in-person interaction with individuals supported, Home Shareproviders, families, and external service providers.
Mayrequire flexibility in scheduling to respond to urgent situations, changingindividual needs, or operational requirements.

$42 CAD/hour
