Support student success as an Educational Counsellor I with SAIT’s Student Services. This role combines academic and crisis counselling in a nurturing campus environment.
SAIT is seeking a full-time Counsellor for their Student Development and Counselling team. Your responsibilities will include providing crisis intervention, counseling for personal issues, and leading workshops that promote student success. Working in office is mandatory, and you may also need to travel to satellite campuses as required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver personal and career-focused counselling
• Conduct crisis assessments and interventions
• Enhance crisis support capabilities within the team
• Create psychoeducational programs and workshops
• Collaborate with faculty to address student concerns
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Psychology or Clinical Social Work
• 2-3 years' experience in crisis counselling
• Registration as a Psychologist/Clinical Social Worker in Alberta
• Familiarity with post-secondary educational settings
• Relevant professional liability insurance
