Engage in our diverse cultures, working together towards a more human society. Responsibilities Supports Core Members (adults with developmental disabilities) to engage in a range of daytime activities that build on existing skills and support the development of recent skills. Shares in daily life and supports the health and wellbeing of individuals living in L’Arche Hamilton homes and program. Organizes access to program/home activities and plans that facilitate the active involvement of Core Members in meaningful work, volunteer, and recreational activities in program, home, and community settings,



empowering Core Members to make choices that ensure a meaningful and engaging day. Collaborates with other team members to support the physical, psychological, and emotional well‑being of Core Members; responds to each Core Member’s needs by respectfully supporting them with daily living skills, personal care, and, where needed, administering medication. Encourages Core Members to achieve the highest level of independence in vocational skills and relationships; assists in building skills in appropriate areas. Oversees and maintains all program/house spaces, equipment, and vehicles; ensures spaces are accessible, meet fire, health, and safety standards, and that adequate supplies are purchased and available. Participates and contributes to team meetings and other community committees as appropriate. Facilitates the creation of a personal schedule of activities with individual Core Members in collaboration with other team members.
