Reporting to the Director of Innovation, Science and Climate Change, you will lead strategic environmental programs across the Inuvialuit Settlement Region. This position emphasizes developing and implementing policies, acquiring funding, and managing research collaborations. Your leadership will contribute to the economic and cultural well-being of the Inuvialuit communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct environmental stewardship and clean energy initiatives
• Develop and manage research budgets and funding proposals
• Evaluate scientific literature to formulate strategic policies
• Collaborate with Indigenous organizations and research institutions
• Ensure effective knowledge mobilization in environmental governance
Requirements:
• Master’s degree or higher in environmental or related fields
• At least 5 years of experience in environmental science
• 5 years of project management experience preferred
• Supervisory experience in a research or technical setting
• Proficiency in communication and report writing
