Become a Speech Language Pathologist in various school settings. Work full time, support students' speech and language needs, and collaborate with educational teams for effective service delivery.
This position requires extensive training and the ability to implement best practices in speech and language education. The successful candidate must have a valid BC driver’s license and a Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology. As an itinerant role, you'll be identifying and assessing communicative impairments, while developing tailored intervention programs for students in need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and evaluate students with communicative impairments
• Collaborate with School Based Teams for effective service delivery
• Develop and direct intervention programs for individuals and groups
• Provide training and support in Augmented and Alternative Communication (AAC)
• Consult with teachers and parents for optimal student support
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology
• Eligibility for membership in BC's Speech and Hearing Health Professionals
• Proven collaborative experience with educational teams
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Experience with diverse abilities in educational settings
