Job Description The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking a full-time family physician to join the primary health care team in Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
This is a dynamic prospect to practise comprehensive rural family medicine in a multidisciplinary and supportive environment.
As a physician in Weyburn you will practise full-scope family medicine in a clinical setting as well as work collaboratively with other medical professionals to support the emergency and acute care needs of the community and surrounding areas.
The SHA is dedicated to learning and is a partner in the educational needs of medical students, residents, nursing staff and allied health professionals.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to become involved in the academic efforts in the Department of Family Medicine in our area.
This position will remain open until filled and may be filled prior to the posted closing date Relocation Package The successful candidate may be eligible for: Thewhich provides up to $200,000 over five years to family physicians practicing,
or returning to practice, in rural and remote communities in Saskatchewan Job Qualifications Certified or eligible to be certified with the College of Family Physicians of Canada Regular or provisional license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (or eligible to be licensed) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required Recommended - Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Valid drivers license Successful SHA credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sector Current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage Legal entitlement to work in Canada Benefits The Saskatchewan Medical Association () provides members with various physician programs and benefits, each with its own criteria and features.
