As part of the military aircraft maintenance team, the Avionics Systems Technician is pivotal to maintaining operational readiness. This role includes executing preventive and corrective maintenance on essential systems, while also training future technicians in critical skills. Technicians may be stationed at various locations, including remote deployments, contributing to national and international missions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance and testing on aircraft communication and navigation systems
• Operate testing equipment for avionics maintenance
• Instruct personnel in technical procedures and safety protocols
• Administer aircraft statistical documentation
• Carry out aircraft marshalling, parking, and tow operations
Requirements:
• Grade 10 or Secondary 4 completion required
• College-level training in related fields advantageous
• Ability to adapt to shifts and overtime work
• Interest in furthering technical training and specialty
• Open to relocations as needed
