We are looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join a growing mining organization in Toronto, Ontario on a Long-term Contract basis.

This opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys working in a lean workplace where they can take ownership of day-to-day accounting, support reporting needs, and contribute across a range of finance and administrative priorities.

The role offers flexible part-time hours of approximately 15 to 20 hours per week , with hybrid work available following initial in-office training.

This contract is expected to run for 6 months , with the possibility of extending or moving into a permanent position.

Responsibilities: Manage core accounting activities, including accounts payable processing, cash monitoring, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.

Prepare supporting schedules and draft financial statements to assist monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting requirements.





Coordinate audit and review support by gathering documentation, resolving information gaps, and responding to requests from external reviewers.

Assist with capital markets and financing-related accounting tasks within a publicly oriented business environment.

Provide dependable support in areas that fall outside standard accounting duties, including administrative coordination and business-related follow-up items.

Help maintain accurate financial records in Quick

Books Online and contribute to future improvements in accounting processes and systems.

Work closely with finance leadership and external service providers to ensure reporting obligations and operational needs are completed effectively.

Contribute analysis and ad hoc reporting that supports decision-making for management and board-level matters.
