The Director of Operations plays a crucial role in managing governance and community initiatives for the George Gordon First Nation. This position entails overseeing financial management, recruiting senior management, and ensuring effective transparency and accountability. You will also engage with community members and advocate for GGFN's interests at government and organizational levels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction
• Collaborate on strategic plans with Chief and Council
• Manage senior management team and human resources
• Oversee budget development and financial sustainability
• Foster community engagement through regular meetings
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in business, Public Administration, or related field
• Proven senior leadership experience within Indigenous organizations
• Robust understanding of First Nation governance and culture
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• High level of integrity and ethical standards
