We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic finance team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the financial planning and reporting processes of thepany.

What You Will Be Doing: Prepare month-end and year-end reporting, ensuring all financial activities are properly recorded and reconciled.
Ensuringpliance with Canadian accounting standards (IFRS or ASPE).
Oversee general ledger activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Provide instructions and guidance to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Property Accounting, including G/L coding, processing invoices and payments.
Ensure timely and accurate payments of invoices and giving priority to time sensitive payments.
Conduct variance analysis to provide insights to senior management for decision-making.
Preparing tax filings and supporting documentation, including GST/HST returns and corporate tax filings.
Ensurepliance with all local, provincial, and federal tax regulations.
Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls.
Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Prepare the annual budget for the managementpany.
Prepare bank reconciliations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of new accounting systems or software.
Detailed review of financial statements and corporate tax returns prepared by external accountants Will be assigned other accounting responsibilities.
Undertakes ad hoc projects and other duties as reasonably assigned from time to time.
What You Will Need: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA) is an asset.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in corporate accounting, ideally in Real Estate or Public Accounting Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards (IFRS/ASPE), tax regulations, and general accounting principles.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy andpleteness.
Excellent verbal and writtenmunication skills.
Ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial colleagues.
Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a rapid-paced environment.
Proactive in identifying issues and developing effective solutions.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
