Cameco seeks a Technical Radiation Specialist I to enhance its radiation programs through technical support and analytical expertise. This role focuses on calibrating equipment and ensuring compliance across sites.
As a Radiation Specialist, you will play a vital role in implementing the radiation protection program, conducting routine sampling, and supporting data management efforts. Your background in physics or engineering will be essential in maintaining safety standards while collaborating with teams across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide analytical support for the radiation program
• Calibrate radiation equipment regularly for safety compliance
• Conduct daily monitoring of radiological parameters
• Participate in job hazard and incident investigations
• Enter and manage data of radiation monitoring information
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in physics, engineering, or related fields
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• 14-day rotational work schedule required
• Previous nuclear industry experience preferred
• Successfully pass pre-employment substance test
