Lyft is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to enhance the Recommendations team. This hybrid role focuses on backend systems, AI tools, and delivering an exceptional rider experience.
As part of Lyft's team, you will collaborate with cross-functional experts, leveraging Python and Go to design scalable systems. Your contributions will drive impactful projects aimed at enriching the rider experience through intelligent recommendations. You will also mentor fellow engineers and advocate for best practices in AI-enabled engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish and promote engineering best practices and patterns

• Architect scalable systems for complex features development
• Mentor team members on technical growth and excellence
• Participate in on-call rotations and code quality reviews
Requirements:
• BS/MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Python, Go, and cloud platforms
• Experience with databases like PostgreSQL or DynamoDB
• Ability to work within a collaborative, cross-functional team
