What will you do?
Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
Follow safety guidelines (as per our Safety Manual)Meet quality standards (as per our Quality Manual
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers
Operate lathe and mill to manufacture custom or maintenance parts.
Measure and examine specifications using mathematics, micrometers and vernier calipers
Check accuracy of work against blueprints and specifications
Write basic programs for custom product lines
Ensure parts are machined in a timely manner to meet production requirements
What do you need to succeed?
Grade 12 education or equivalent (required)Saskatchewan journeyperson machinist certificate, or equivalent1 year accumulated manual/CNC machine shop experience
Capable of accurately reading calipers, micrometers, protractors and tape measures
Take accurate measurements and data recording
Mathematical skills to include fractions, decimals and metric system
Familiarity with basic tools and mechanically inclined
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
Adequate reading and writing skills
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, engineering plans, work orders, and specifications
