Staff Plus is hiring a Maintenance Helper for our client in Scarborough.

This role is essential in supporting the upkeep, repair, and continuous operation of manufacturing and facility equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, electrical knowledge, and hands-on experience with various maintenance tasks.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will contribute to ensuring a safe, productive, and well-maintained environment that supports our operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Duties Assist in routine inspections and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime.

Support troubleshooting and repair activities involving mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Perform welding, electrical wiring, or mechanical repairs as needed, adhering to safety standards.

Support facilities maintenance tasks such as HVAC, plumbing, and general building upkeep.





Assist in small teams during maintenance projects, demonstrating leadership qualities.

Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruptions during maintenance activities.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations at all times.

Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with schematics essential.

Skilled in welding, electrical wiring, and general mechanical repairs.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance best practices.

Excellent communication skills in English; capable of clear documentation and team collaboration.

Demonstrated leadership ability with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Prior experience in facilities maintenance within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
