Mandatory Requirements

Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary Division

Preferred Requirements

Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed divisions

Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies

Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment

Understanding of the Ontario Catholic Curriculum and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy

Knowledge and experience in implementing structured literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction

Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies

Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY.

Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning, and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner

Understanding and commitment to the implementation of culturally responsive pedagogy and the integration of Indigenous perspectives into instruction.





Sound knowledge and understanding of the development of student individual profiles to support the planning of differentiated instruction for a range of student learning needs.

Commitment to being an active participant on the school's skilled learning team to promote student achievement

Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties and familiarity with the school environment would be an asset

Special Education Part 1 would be an asset.
