Job Description Job Title: Transport Refrigeration Technician (Truck & Reefer Units)

Job Summary:
We are hiring experienced Transport Refrigeration Technicians to handle troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of refrigeration systems used in containers, trucks, and trailers. The role requires hands-on expertise in maintaining and servicing reefer units and auxiliary power units (APUs).

Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair transport refrigeration systems on containers, trucks, and trailers

Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of refrigeration units

Use diagnostic scanners, electronic testing equipment, and onboard computer systems

Repair and replace defective components, including leak testing (Freon) and system recharging

Carry out installation of new refrigeration units on trucks, trailers, containers, and vans

Perform soldering, welding,



and assembly of refrigeration components

Attend to operator complaints and resolve technical issues efficiently

Maintain accurate service records and follow shop orders

Salary: $37 per hour | 40–44 hours per week
Requirements Diploma/Certificate inMechanical Trade or related field
Ozone DepletionCertificate (mandatory)

Minimum 5 years ofexperience in transport refrigeration

6 years of experience with Thermo King units is mandatory
Valid Driver’s License

Trade Certification(required upon arrival)

Must have own toolswith storage

Hands-on experiencewith reefer containers is mandatory

Solid knowledge ofrefrigeration systems, diagnostics, and repair

Ability to lift 50–75lbs (with or without assistance)

Comfortable climbingladders up to 8 feet

Ability to kneel,squat, bend, and push/pull as required

Willingness to work inconditions involving noise, heat, cold, wet, and slippery environments
