Elevate the lives of youth as a Child Youth Worker with Pacific Coast Children’s Resources. Play a critical role in nurturing independence and supporting young people in community-staffed homes.
Your role as a Child Youth Worker entails providing direct support to youth while promoting their self-determination. Collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team, you will document and execute Personal Service Plans, ensuring youths’ needs and rights are met effectively. Your efforts will significantly contribute to nurturing positive community relations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advocate for the rights of supported children
• Document daily activities and health information
• Assist with daily living tasks and medication management
• Engage with children to foster independence
• Maintain a clean and supportive living setting
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 education
• Diploma in Child and Youth Care or equivalent
• 2+ years in community services for youth
• Experience in Trauma-Informed Practice or similar
• Valid restricted class 4 driver’s license needed
