Transform student learning as a Long-Term Occasional Science Teacher at the Durham District School Board. This full time role for Semester One focuses on creating a nurturing educational experience for high school students.
As part of DDSB, you will lead classes for grades 9 to 12, specializing in Special Education and General Science. Your responsibilities include developing lessons, monitoring student progress, and fostering a diverse and supportive classroom environment. Collaborating with colleagues and parents is essential to enrich student learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver engaging science lessons that meet curriculum standards • Assess and refine student learning outcomes through feedback • Build an inclusive and positive classroom culture • Work with colleagues and community to enhance education quality • Adapt instructional methods to suit diverse learners
Requirements: • Ontario teaching certificate in good standing • Required qualifications in Special Education and General Science • Experience working with secondary students preferred • Current Criminal Background Check needed for employment • Dedication to equity and diversity within education
