As the Manager of Infection Prevention and Control, you will drive quality assurance efforts and strategic initiatives within VCH's operations. This role entails overseeing infection control practices across all care settings to mitigate risks associated with healthcare-acquired infections. You'll provide essential leadership to an interdisciplinary team and collaborate with various healthcare professionals to foster a culture of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct the IPAC program across regional healthcare settings
• Implement effective infection control policies and protocols
• Coordinate training and resource management
• Foster interdepartmental communication for service excellence
• Lead quality improvement initiatives aligned with health standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Health Sciences
• At least five years of related Infection Control experience
• Completion of an IPAC-Canada approved course
• Current CBIC Certification within two years of hiring
• Registration with a relevant qualified organization
