Osprey Systems seeks an Edge Software Developer to enhance Canada's counter-drone systems facing harsh environments. Your expertise in embedded Linux and networking underpins critical operational capabilities.
In this role, you'll own the software responsible for reliable operation in extreme cold and network-degraded conditions. You will design and implement the embedded Linux platform, including networking, time synchronization, and fault-tolerant OTA updates. Your contributions will play a vital role in ensuring continuous operation of defense technologies and shaping the engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop the embedded Linux platform on GPU hardware
• Create networking solutions for distributed device resilience
• Achieve peer-to-peer time synchronization without GPS
• Implement staged OTA updates with rollback capabilities
• Address power management issues during extreme weather
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded Linux systems
• Solid fluency in C++ and scripting
• In-depth knowledge of networking principles
• Experience with unattended remote devices
• Reliability-oriented design expertise
