Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Underground Transmission Line Engineer to enhance energy projects. This senior-level position functions in a hybrid work environment focused on high voltage line design.

As an engineer with a strong background in underground transmission systems, you will lead the design and analysis for lines up to 500kV. Responsibilities include cost estimation, engineering calculations, and guiding project teams through various phases of design and implementation. You will also manage site routing challenges and develop detailed project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Execute design for underground lines and duct bank configurations
• Perform ampacity calculations and conduct cable selection studies




• Coordinate with vendors to specify transmission line components
• Develop trenchless designs and related specifications
• Oversee budget constraints and project schedules

Requirements:
• Accredited BS degree in engineering
• 7+ years in underground transmission project teams
• Expertise in cable design and CYMCAP modeling
• Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards
• Robust interpersonal and documentation skills
