We are looking for an accomplished Deputy Chief Financial Officer to provide strategic and operational finance leadership for a wholesale distribution business in Brampton, Ontario.

This Contract opportunity is ideal for a senior finance executive who can guide enterprise-wide reporting, strengthen financial performance, and support informed decision-making across a complex, inventory-driven environment.

The successful candidate will bring a hands-on approach to leadership while helping the organization enhance controls, improve financial processes, and support ongoing business transformation.

This is a 6-mon contract with primarily onsite setting in Brampton, ON.

Responsibilities: Lead consolidated financial oversight across multiple business entities, ensuring accurate reporting and explicit visibility into overall performance.

Evaluate monthly financial results, forecasts, and management analysis, offering informed challenge and recommendations to strengthen decision-making.

Prepare and deliver financial insights for key stakeholders and strategic partners, presenting complex information in a clear and practical manner.





Direct financial governance related to inventory, including control processes, operational finance support, and performance monitoring in an inventory-intensive setting.

Oversee costing practices and assess margins and profitability to improve commercial insight and support stronger pricing and cost management.

Manage treasury activities, cash flow planning, banking relationships, and required financial compliance reporting.

Provide financial leadership for funding-related matters, including lending arrangements, capital support activities, and other special financing needs.

Drive focus on working capital, liquidity, and broader financial results while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and business performance.

Mentor and support the finance leadership team, serving as a senior advisor on complex issues and helping elevate overall finance capability.

Strengthen finance processes, internal controls, and systems within a largely manual environment, while contributing leadership through ongoing organizational change.
