JOB PURPOSE

This is supervisory clinical and technical work responsible for diagnostic radiography services in one or more facilities in an area/zone. Work involves supervising, coordinating, and overseeing operational functions of the service and providing expertise to staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Must be registered with the New Brunswick Regulatory College of Medical Radiation Technologists.
- Minimum of three (3) years progressive related experience and demonstrated leadership ability.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Supervisor - Medical Radiological Technology is responsible for:

- Supervise day to day operations including scheduling of staff
- Triage, schedule patients and assign work.
- Participate in performance appraisals.
- Train and mentor new staff and students; support staff educational opportunities.
- Provide clinical expertise to staff, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders.
- Assist with development and implementation of policy and procedures and ensure adherence.
- Manage inventory and supplies and liaise with vendors and purchasing department.
- Performing the work of a Medical Radiation Technologist
