Job Summary

To provide the organization with all facets of manufacturing including equipment, tools, building and instructions to facilitate the production of high quality magnesium die-castings that meet customer requirements.

Also, improve all operations through a planned program of continuous improvements and to provide ongoing support to the manufacturing group.

Major Responsibilities of Position

Writing specifications for the purchase of recent or replacement equipment.

Overseeing the acquisition and installation of new equipment.

Working closely with suppliers to ensure that products are delivered on time and to specifications.

Project management: Continuous improvement of existing equipment.

Implement new technologies at manufacturing cells.

Troubleshooting: solving and correcting failed or inconsistent manufacturing equipment and systems.

Education, Experience and Skills

Bachelors'' Degree or Technical Diploma in Engineering DisciplineA Minimum of 3-5 years automotive engineering experience

Significant project management experience (PMP is an asset)Excellent Mechanical,



Hydraulic and Electrical knowledge and troubleshooting experience with elevated understanding of Allen Bradley/Siemens control systems

Working knowledge of CAD/CAM systems, personal computers and software.

Strong understanding of blueprint reading, physics, costing, and value analysis

Understanding of the OH&S; Act and Regulations as well as legislative and customer requirements for item specifications.
