About the Opportunity
Insight Global is partnering with a global financial technology organization that delivers international payment and foreign exchange solutions for businesses and consumers.

Their platform supports cross-border transactions across multiple countries, helping clients securely send, receive, hold, and convert funds worldwide.

The organization is currently investing heavily in the modernization of its payment technology ecosystem and is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to play a key role in ensuring software quality across critical financial systems.

This position offers the opportunity to influence testing strategy, automation architecture, release quality, and engineering best practices while working closely with product, engineering, and compliance teams.

Position Overview
The Senior QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for driving quality initiatives throughout the software development lifecycle, with an emphasis on automation, testing strategy, release readiness, and production reliability.

This individual will serve as a technical leader within the QA function, helping define testing frameworks, improve automation capabilities, mentor fellow QA professionals, and support the delivery of highly reliable software solutions.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience building and maintaining enterprise-level test automation frameworks, a strong understanding of modern QA methodologies, and experience working in highly regulated environments such as payments, fintech, or financial services.

Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain automated testing frameworks for complex applications, integrations, and business-critical workflows.

Develop integration and API testing solutions that validate data movement and interactions across multiple systems and third-party services.

Establish testing strategies that balance manual and automated testing efforts while ensuring comprehensive coverage.

Create, execute, and maintain test cases, test plans, and automated test suites.

Lead efforts related to release quality, including test pipeline optimization, defect management, and release readiness assessments.

Partner with software engineers,



architects, product teams, and stakeholders to identify quality risks early in the development process.

Investigate production issues and implement preventative measures through enhanced testing and process improvements.

Drive continuous improvements to test infrastructure, automation frameworks, and quality engineering practices.

Provide technical leadership for QA initiatives, including test architecture reviews and automation code reviews.

Mentor and support mid-level QA engineers, promoting engineering best practices across teams.

Utilize AI-powered development and testing tools to improve efficiency, productivity, and test coverage.

Contribute to CI/CD pipeline quality controls and automated validation processes within cloud-based environments.

Skills and Requirements
6+ years of experience in software quality assurance and automated testing within enterprise or production environments.

Strong programming and automation experience using Java

Script, Type

Script, Python, C#, or similar object-oriented languages.

Expertise designing and maintaining automated test frameworks and scalable testing architectures.

Experience with UI automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or comparable frameworks.

Hands-on experience performing API testing using tools such as Postman or similar technologies.

Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases for data validation, troubleshooting, and test preparation.

Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates within modern development environments.

Knowledge of both functional and non-functional testing methodologies, including performance, resiliency, and reliability testing.

Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or similar platforms.

Ability to determine the appropriate balance between manual and automated testing approaches.

Experience leveraging AI-enabled development, test automation, or productivity tools throughout the software development lifecycle.

Working knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms within testing or development environments.

Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring team members, and influencing quality strategies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience within payments, financial technology, banking, or another highly regulated industry.

Experience implementing contract testing solutions for complex integrations and third-party APIs.

Exposure to testing Windows desktop applications.

Experience building or maintaining mobile application automation frameworks.

Background leading QA transformation initiatives, automation modernization efforts, or large-scale quality engineering programs.

Familiarity with service-oriented and microservices-based architectures.

Experience supporting enterprise systems with high-volume transaction processing requirements.
