**Job Title: Electromechanical Technician**
**Job Description**
The Electromechanical Technician supports and performs maintenance on all manufacturing equipment, focusing on the machines on multiple production lines within a fast-paced medical device manufacturing environment.

Working as part of a team of technicians, this role is responsible for troubleshooting, performing both electrical and mechanical maintenance, and carrying out daily and biweekly preventive maintenance and cleaning activities to ensure reliable and efficient production operations.
**Responsibilities**
Perform troubleshooting on electromechanical machines and production line equipment to quickly identify and resolve issues.

Carry out electrical controls maintenance activities, representing approximately 40% of the role, including inspection, adjustment, and repair of electrical components and control systems.

Conduct mechanical maintenance tasks, representing approximately 60% of the role, including repair, replacement, and adjustment of mechanical parts and assemblies.

Execute daily and biweekly preventive maintenance routines, including cleaning and inspection, to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life.

Maintain and support multiple production lines as part of a larger team of technicians, ensuring equipment readiness and operational reliability.

Participate in process, product, equipment, and component validations and verifications, including activities related to new product introductions.

Adhere strictly to change control protocols and maintenance procedures typical of medical device manufacturing settings, ensuring compliance and documentation accuracy.

Respond flexibly to changing and evolving production requirements and priorities, adjusting work plans as needed.

Work independently when required, taking appropriate action to resolve equipment issues while knowing when to escalate concerns.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization, contributing to a positive and cooperative team environment.

Communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing, when documenting maintenance activities and interacting with stakeholders.

Speak up proactively about equipment concerns, safety issues, and process improvement opportunities.

Use manual dexterity and the ability to distinguish between colours to perform detailed technical tasks such as instrumentation work and hand soldering.

Spend extended periods standing and walking on the production floor, with occasional kneeling and crouching to access equipment in various positions.

Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and components as needed.

Utilize MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) to complete documentation, track maintenance activities, and communicate with the team.
**Essential Skills**
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electromechanical machines and production equipment.

Electromechanical or Electrical/Mechanical Technician Diploma, or an acceptable combination of related education and experience.

Strong mechanical and/or automation aptitude with a focus on equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Familiarity with the operation, assembly, and maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment.

Experience working in a medical device manufacturing or electronic manufacturing setting is considered an asset.

Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Hands-on experience with instrumentation, installation, and electromechanics.

Ability to perform hand soldering and related technical tasks as required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

Comfort working in a noisy, quick-paced manufacturing setting.





Flexibility to work overtime and on different shifts as required.

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

Willingness to participate in validation and verification activities for processes, products, equipment, and components.

Commitment to following change control protocols and maintenance procedures appropriate for regulated manufacturing environments.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare manufacturing environments.

Experience in medical technology or healthcare-related production is an asset.

Comfort working with AI-supported applications, digital services, and clinical point-of-care diagnostic products.

Interest in contributing innovative ideas to improve equipment reliability, processes, and technologies.

Awareness of quality, compliance, and validation requirements in regulated manufacturing settings.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
