**Job Description**
**HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT**
We are seeking a highly motivated Hydraulic Technical Sales Specialist to support and grow our Canada Distribution Vertical.

This role is responsible for driving profitable sales growth, expanding market share, and developing new business opportunities across the hydraulic distribution channel.

As the hydraulic subject matter expert, the successful candidate will provide technical leadership, application support, and strategic guidance to distributors and end users, while building strong customer relationships and delivering innovative fluid handling solutions.

Working closely with the Vertical and Sales teams, this individual will execute growth strategies that exceed market performance, increase margins, and strengthen Conti

Tech's position as the preferred partner in the hydraulic distribution market.

Success in this role requires a combination of technical hydraulic expertise, consultative selling skills, business acumen, and a strong commitment to customer-centricity.
**Key Responsibilities:**
• Develop and execute a hydraulic sales strategy to maximize profitable growth and market share within the IAM Canada Distribution vertical.
• Drive profitable sales growth within the Canadian distribution channel by identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships.
• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for hydraulic hose, fittings, adapters, couplings, and fluid handling solutions, providing application and product support to distributors, end users, and internal stakeholders.
• Partner with distribution sales teams and vertical leadership to develop and execute strategic growth plans that maximize revenue and profitability across targeted markets and accounts.
• Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical presentations to strengthen customer relationships and drive product adoption.
• Support distributors in identifying new opportunities, developing sales pipelines,



and implementing market penetration strategies to expand Conti

Tech's presence within targeted industries.
• Collaborate with customers to understand operational challenges and provide value-added hydraulic solutions that improve equipment reliability, productivity, and total cost of ownership.
• Manage and grow strategic customer accounts through regular business reviews, joint planning activities, and continuous engagement with key decision-makers.
• Assist in the development of business proposals, quotations, contract negotiations, and account strategies to secure current business and strengthen existing partnerships.
• Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, emerging industry trends, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities and inform business strategy.

Champion a customer-centric culture by ensuring exceptional responsiveness, technical support, and service throughout the customer journey.
• Work closely with Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, Operations, and Application Engineering teams to ensure effective execution of customer programs and business initiatives.
• Support new product launches, promotional initiatives, and strategic projects designed to enhance Conti

Tech's market position and customer value proposition.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, pricing guidelines, and contractual requirements while conducting business activities.
**Qualifications**
**WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE**
**Basic Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a technical discipline (or minimum 10 years or more of relevant experience if no degree).
• 5+ years of hydraulic hose sales experience.

Experience converting a major customer's business from a competitor and developing, presenting, gaining approval, and executing on major business cases.
• Strong background in sales, customer relationship management, and business development.
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with proficiency in Power

Point.
• Financial acumen with the ability to manage sales, margin, and cost structures.
• Robust communication skills, emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.
• Knowledge of industrial distribution and hydraulic markets.
• Ability to travel up to 50%,



including overnight stays.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada (no sponsorship available).
• No relocation assistance is offered for this position.
**ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT**
**Preferred Qualifications:**
• Strong hydraulics product knowledge, including hydraulic fittings, braided and spiral hose, and assemblies.
• Basic understanding of industrial rubber products, including hydraulic hose, fittings, and assemblies.
• Proven success in hunting and closing new customers and business opportunities.
• Minimum of 1 year of business development, R&D;, applications engineering and/or sales engineering experience.
