**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler**
**Job Description**
The Mechanical Assembler role focuses on assembling mechanical and electromechanical products using hand and power tools, precision measuring equipment, and detailed engineering documentation.

You interpret blueprints and schematics, perform equipment adjustments based on test results, and ensure all assemblies meet quality and safety standards in a clean, climate-controlled production workplace.
**Responsibilities**
Perform mechanical and electromechanical assembly using hand tools such as torque wrenches, nut drivers, and allen wrenches.

Use power tools safely and effectively for assembly and machine building tasks.

Employ measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and standard rulers, to verify that products meet specified tolerances and dimensions.

Read, follow, and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, schematics, and operation sheets to complete assembly work according to standard instructions.

Adjust equipment and machinery based on test results and a thorough understanding of processes to ensure proper operation and product performance.

Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) standards to prevent foreign objects and debris from contaminating products and work areas.

Perform quality checks on assembled products, identify defects, and accurately record all identified defects in the appropriate documentation.

Rework and repair assembled equipment and products according to updated engineering specifications and changes.

Complete required documentation and basic computer entries related to production, quality, and work orders.

Support general labor activities associated with assembly and machine building as needed.

Carry out electrical assembly tasks, including basic electrical wiring, when required by the product design.

Lift and move components and assemblies up to 25 pounds in accordance with safety guidelines.
**Essential Skills**
Minimum 4+ years of assembly experience in manufacturing, mechanical, or electromechanical environments.

At least 3+ years of experience using hand and power tools for assembly work.

At least 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting schematics, drawings, and blueprints.

Strong mechanical assembly skills with the ability to follow detailed engineering and operation sheets.

Ability to perform electrical assembly and wiring tasks as required.

Proficiency with hand tools such as torque wrenches, nut drivers, and allen wrenches.

Proficiency with power tools commonly used in mechanical and electromechanical assembly.

Ability to use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and standard rulers.

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds safely and repeatedly.

Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate computer systems for documentation and data entry.

Ability to complete production and quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience working in AS9100 environments is an asset.

Experience with general labor tasks in a manufacturing or assembly setting.





Familiarity with electrical wiring practices in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work effectively within a small team in an open assembly area.

Willingness to work day and afternoon shifts as operational needs require.

**Work Environment**
You work in a clean, bright, and open assembly area with a small team and a climate-controlled environment.

The role involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment at dedicated assembly stations.

Initial scheduling is on the day shift for a minimum of six weeks, with the expectation that you are comfortable working afternoon shifts if needed.

Day shift hours are 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and afternoon shift hours are 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., Monday to Thursday.

The environment emphasizes adherence to PPE standards to maintain product cleanliness and safety, while providing an organized and professional production setting.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Waterloo, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Waterloo,ON.
