Job Description

The P&ID; Specialist will create and maintain P&ID; drawings based on Process Lead redline markups, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), plant surveys, equipment documentation, and other engineering reference materials from various manufacturing facilities. This role requires ensuring compliance with P&ID; standards and drafting practices. The specialist will support the P&ID; Development Program objectives by developing, generating, and updating P&ID-related; reports and databases using AutoCAD Plant 3D Data Manager.

Responsibilities

- Create and maintain P&ID; drawings from various engineering reference materials, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Develop, generate, and update P&ID-related; reports and databases using AutoCAD Plant 3D Data Manager.
- Review, revise, and incorporate process, equipment, and instrumentation changes into existing P&ID; drawings.
- Support ongoing plant modernization, capital, and continuous improvement projects by updating documentation.
- Utilize Autodesk Vault for document revisions, version control, and support of Engineering Change Order workflows.
- Collaborate with Process Engineers, Mechanical Piping Designers, and Operations personnel to resolve drawing discrepancies.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Plant 3D report lists, tag databases, and engineering records.
- Participate in document reviews, quality checks, and drawing audits to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and communicate project status updates.
- Support plant survey activities and field verification efforts to collect data and validate information.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing drafting standards and document management processes.
- Perform other duties in support of engineering, project execution, and plant documentation objectives.

Essential Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Plant 3D, and P&ID; work.
- Experience with PLM, layout design, and drafting.
- Piping design or drafting experience.
- Understanding of CSA standards and compliance.

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
