Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced GCP Migration Architect to support a large-scale infrastructure migration from legacy on-premises data centers to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with legacy infrastructure, GCP networking, cloud migration, load balancing, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and hybrid connectivity.

This is a brownfield migration setting, so candidates should be comfortable working with complex legacy systems, limited documentation, existing infrastructure dependencies, and tight migration deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and execute migration strategies for legacy on-premises infrastructure to GCP.
- Assess existing Windows/Linux servers, Oracle/SQL Server environments, Active Directory, networking, and infrastructure dependencies.
- Design and maintain GCP hub-and-spoke VPC architecture.
- Manage Cloud VPN, IPsec connectivity, IAM, firewall policies, and organization policies.
- Migrate legacy/on-premises load-balancing solutions to GCP Cloud Load Balancing.
- Implement URL maps, backend services, path-based routing, DNS, SSL certificates, and zero-downtime migration/cutover strategies.
- Work extensively with Terraform and existing Infrastructure-as-Code repositories.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Implement and troubleshoot Workload Identity Federation (WIF/OIDC) for secure, keyless GCP authentication.
- Support hybrid connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and GCP throughout migration phases.
- Troubleshoot undocumented infrastructure dependencies and unexpected issues discovered during migration.
- Work closely with security and compliance teams to ensure infrastructure meets organizational requirements.




- Support migration activities under strict data-center exit and project delivery deadlines.
- Leverage modern AI/GenAI tools to accelerate infrastructure discovery, dependency analysis, documentation, and architectural validation.

Required Skills

- 8+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Cloud Architecture, or Cloud Migration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proven experience migrating legacy/brownfield infrastructure to cloud.
- Strong knowledge of GCP VPC, hub-and-spoke architecture, Cloud VPN, IAM, firewall policies, and organization policies.
- Hands-on experience with GCP Cloud Load Balancing and legacy load-balancer migration.
- Robust Terraform experience in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions CI/CD.
- Solid understanding of Workload Identity Federation, OIDC, and keyless GCP authentication.
- Experience with IPsec VPN and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Experience with legacy Windows/Linux infrastructure, Oracle and/or SQL Server, Active Directory, and enterprise networking.
- Experience delivering large-scale cloud migrations under strict timelines.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex, poorly documented environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in healthcare, financial services, insurance, or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, PIPEDA, or similar compliance frameworks.
- Experience with cloud security and CSPM tools such as Wiz.
- Experience with endpoint/workload security platforms such as CrowdStrike.
- Experience using AI tools for infrastructure discovery, dependency mapping, and technical analysis.
- Experience with zero-downtime migration and data-center exit programs.

Pay: $70.00-$75.00 per hour
