OVERVIEW
Our client, an established plumbing and mechanical services contractor in Greater Sudbury, is searching for a Licensed Plumber to join their growing team. The company provides residential and light commercial plumbing services throughout the Greater Sudbury area and offers a stable, team-oriented work environment with opportunities for additional hours and long-term growth.
Reporting to the Plumbing Manager, the Licensed Plumber will complete a variety of service, maintenance, repair, and installation work. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently in customers' homes and commercial environments and will bring strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills to the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot residential and light commercial plumbing systems
· Complete plumbing service calls throughout the Greater Sudbury area
· Install and service water supply, drainage, sanitary, storm, and venting systems
· Diagnose plumbing issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions
· Install and repair fixtures, water heaters, pumps, mixing valves, backflow devices, and related plumbing equipment
· Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings
· Perform pressure testing, leak detection, and system commissioning as required
· Ensure work complies with the Ontario Plumbing Code, applicable building codes, and safety requirements
· Complete digital work orders, service reports, and required documentation
· Communicate professionally with homeowners, customers, contractors, inspectors, and team members
· Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition
· Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
· Participate in an on-call rotation approximately one week every two months
· Provide guidance and support to apprentices when required
REQUIREMENTS
· Licensed Construction and Maintenance Plumber (306A)
· Previous residential and/or commercial plumbing experience; a combination of both is considered an asset
· Strong knowledge of the Ontario Plumbing Code
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
· Comfortable working independently and completing service calls in customers' homes
· Strong customer service and communication skills
· Fluent written and spoken English
· Valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract
· Comfortable using a smartphone and digital work order system
· Willing and able to participate in an on-call rotation
· Gas Technician licensing or related mechanical experience is considered an asset
