About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Shift Foreman to lead and oversee a team of approximately 85+ employees at our Fingerjoint Mill in Prince George, BC.

Reporting to the Assistant Production Manager, the Shift Foreman is responsible for the day-to-day performance of their assigned team, including production, safety, quality, staffing, and maintenance coordination.

You will play a key role in keeping your team operating safely, efficiently, and productively while ensuring equipment and maintenance needs are addressed.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is comfortable making decisions, solving problems, coaching employees, and working closely with both production and maintenance teams.

What You'll Do

- Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of approximately 85+ employees
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and operational goals are achieved
- Take responsibility for the maintenance needs of your assigned team, including identifying equipment issues, coordinating repairs, and following up on maintenance requirements
- Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture and ensure company safety procedures are followed
- Monitor production processes and staffing levels to ensure efficient operations
- Troubleshoot production and equipment issues and take appropriate action to minimize downtime
- Provide training, coaching,



and direction to employees to improve performance and develop skills
- Work closely with maintenance personnel to address equipment reliability and preventative maintenance needs
- Monitor housekeeping, organization, and overall conditions within your assigned areas
- Communicate production, staffing, maintenance, safety, and operational concerns to the Assistant Production Manager
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in a foreman, supervisor, or leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Proven ability to lead and manage a large team
- Strong understanding of production processes and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to make decisions and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a positive safety culture
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Mechanical or maintenance experience is considered an asset
- Forklift certification is considered an asset
