About the Position

Cascade Powersports is looking for an experienced Motorcycle Mechanic / Powersports Technician to join our busy shop in Mission, BC.

We work on a wide variety of machines including motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, side-by-sides and other powersports equipment. This is a hands-on position for someone who can diagnose problems properly, complete repairs efficiently and take pride in sending out quality work.

We are looking for someone who actually knows how to wrench. Experience, diagnostic ability and quality of workmanship matter more to us than simply having a certificate.

What You'll Be Doing

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems
- Motorcycle, ATV, UTV and dirt bike repair
- Engine diagnostics and repair
- Top-end and engine rebuilds
- Valve adjustments
- Fuel injection and carburetor diagnosis
- Electrical troubleshooting and wiring repair
- Charging and starting system diagnosis
- Brake, suspension and steering repairs
- Tire replacement and balancing
- Chains, sprockets, bearings and driveline repairs
- Cooling system repairs
- Regular maintenance and full services
- Pre-purchase and general inspections
- Accurately document repairs and recommended work
- Keep your work area and tools organized
- Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

What We're Looking For

Experience is important.





The ideal candidate will have:

- Previous professional motorcycle or powersports repair experience
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Good electrical diagnostic ability
- Experience working on multiple makes and models
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to properly diagnose a problem instead of simply replacing parts
- Attention to detail
- Good organization and time management
- Valid driver's licence
- Own basic mechanic's tools

Experience with Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM, Husqvarna, Harley-Davidson, BMW, Can-Am and Polaris is an asset.

Red Seal, apprenticeship or manufacturer training is an asset, but we are willing to consider a highly experienced technician without formal certification.
