Bayshore Vegetable Shippers Ltd is a Canadian produce distribution and shipping company that has grown from a local farming operation into a large network. The organization sources, packages, and ships a variety of fresh produce from a network of over 100 local growers and greenhouse partners.

Bayshore Vegetable Shippers Ltd. currently has an existing vacancy for an experienced Data Entry Clerk - Logistics to join their team.

General Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk – Logistics to support the day-to-day operations of our produce distribution on the day and afternoon shift. This position is responsible for accurately entering, reviewing, and maintaining information related to customer orders, inventory, shipments, deliveries, and transportation activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with other teams to help ensure produce moves efficiently through the facility and reaches customers accurately and on time.

This role offers a competitive wage starting at $20.50/hr., plus benefits including health insurance and dental, and 2 weeks of paid vacation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Enter and update customer orders, shipment details, inventory information, and transportation data in company systems.
- Process orders and shipping information accurately and within required timelines.
- Review purchase orders, invoices, delivery records, bills of lading, and other shipping documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Track incoming and outgoing shipments and update their status as required.
- Identify missing, incomplete,



or inconsistent information and work with the appropriate team members to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper records relating to logistics transactions.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, shipments, deliveries, and operational activities.
- Communicate with warehouse, transportation, purchasing, and customer service teams to confirm information and support efficient order fulfillment.
- Assist with inventory reconciliation, audits, and record reviews.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of company, customer, and shipment information.
- Follow company procedures relating to food safety, workplace safety, documentation, and data management.
- Provide general administrative support to the logistics team as needed.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in data entry, logistics, transportation, supply chain, warehousing, or administrative support is preferred.
- Strong typing and data-entry skills with a high level of speed and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.




- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in a produce, food distribution, warehousing, or other fast-paced environment is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with shipping documents, including bills of lading, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery records.
- Knowledge of inventory management, order processing, and shipping and receiving practices. Experience using an ERP, Transportation Management System (TMS), Warehouse Management System (WMS), or similar logistics software.
- Experience working with perishable or temperature-sensitive products is an asset.

Working Conditions:

- Work is performed in an office or warehouse-office environment.
- Regular and extended use of computers and data-management systems is required.
- Occasional overtime and evening work may be required during peak shipping periods.
