Our client is a leading supplier of consumer goods; at the moment they are actively seeking distribution center experienced Materials Analyst (Procurement) to join their growing team!

Responsibilities:

- Procure and place orders for goods, materials and services.
- Use SAP/ ERP systems to review material requirements
- Research and survey buying markets in order to source optimal suppliers.
- Keep material related information up to date and accurate in the SAP/ ERP system
- Handle shipping arrangements and arrange for customer processing when required.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.




- Providing regular status updates of material availability and shortages as required to meet engineering and production schedules
- Negotiate return of items to vendors.

Qualifications:

- Education: University or college degree in material managing, purchasing or business administration.
- 1-3 years of purchasing experience.
- Experience with purchasing mechanical or electronic components an asset.
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
