We’re looking for a Physiotherapy Assistant / Clinic Assistant to support our physiotherapists and patients. The role includes hands-on treatment support, along with straightforward front desk and billing responsibilities.

You’ll assist with treatments under the direction of our physiotherapists, including modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, while also helping with patient check-in, scheduling, payments, and direct billing.

We are currently looking for coverage on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, with the potential to expand to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday as our clinic continues to grow.

Experience in a physiotherapy-related role, or in a clinic, gym, fitness, or sports setting is highly valued.

What you’ll do

- Assist physiotherapists with patient treatments under their direction
- Apply modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation (IFC/TENS)
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment
- Assist with patient flow and ensure treatment areas are ready between appointments
- Clean and maintain treatment areas and equipment
- Greet patients and assist with check-in and check-out
- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Process payments and direct billing
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing issues
- Help keep the clinic organized and running smoothly

What we’re looking for





- Interest in or experience with physiotherapy, kinesiology, rehabilitation, exercise science, fitness, sports, or healthcare
- Post-secondary education or current studies in a related field is a strong asset
- Previous clinic, healthcare, fitness, or patient-facing experience is a strong asset
- Friendly, outgoing, professional, dependable, and comfortable working with patients
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to multitask in a busy clinic setting
- Willing to learn, take direction, and take initiative
- Comfortable using computers and and apps such as Microsoft 365

Education

- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Working towards or holding a post-secondary degree in kinesiology, physiotherapy, exercise science, rehabilitation, or a related field is a strong asset
- Relevant certifications in office administration, healthcare, or related fields are a major plus

Strong assets include

- Physiotherapy assistant experience
- Experience with JaneApp, ClinicMaster, or similar clinic software
- Background in physio, fitness, kinesiology, or a health-related field
