Position Overview:

We're looking for a hardworking, reliable Shop Hand to join our production team on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent full-time position for the right candidate.

This is a hands-on role assisting with the fabrication and assembly of our modular steel products. Working under the direction of the Operations Manager, you'll help measure, cut, prepare, and assemble components while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

No previous experience with our products is required. We will provide on-the-job training in our fabrication processes, equipment, and safety procedures. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities:





· Assist with measuring, cutting, and preparing steel components

· Assemble modular steel platforms, walkovers, stairs, and related products

· Read and follow shop drawings and assembly instructions

· Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment

· Load, unload, and organize materials

· Maintain a clean and safe work area

· Assist with packaging and preparing completed products for shipment

· Occasionally assist with on-site installations

· Follow all company safety policies and procedures

· Other shop duties, as required

Essential Requirements:

· Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, fabrication, or a similar hands-on environment is considered an asset

· Comfortable using hand and power tools

· Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn

· Able to read a tape measure accurately

· Robust attention to detail — measure twice, cut once

· Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods

· Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons

· Reliable transportation to our SE Calgary shop

· Dependable, punctual, and takes pride in producing quality work

· Ability to communicate effectively in English

· Adhere to safe work practices

· Reliability: report to work on time every day
