What You’ll Be Doing as the Assistant Controller
- Lead month-end close, reconciliations, variance analysis and internal reporting
- Oversee Accounts Payable operations and support staff development
- Analyze inventory, work-in-progress, margins and costs
- Support budgeting, year-end, audits and credit administration
- Recommend and implement process and system improvements
- Partner with Sales, Purchasing and Inventory teams
About You as the Assistant Controller
- Nearly or newly designated Canadian Chartered Qualified Accountant (CPA)
- High-volume Accounts Payable oversight experience
- Experience supervising or developing accounting staff
- Experience working with ERP and inventory management systems
- Curious, analytical approach with a continuous-improvement mindset
- Reliable transportation is required for this in-office, east-of-the-city location
