Join our family run marina as a Marine Mechanic, where you will be maintaining, repairing, a variety of boats/motors/trailers. Your expertise will ensure that boats operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Duties

- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on various marine engines, propulsion systems, and related equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues using specialized tools and techniques, then develop effective repair strategies
- Disassemble, repair, replace, or overhaul mechanical components such as pumps, gearboxes, and fuel systems
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform repairs with precision and safety in mind
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems quickly and efficiently




- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations to promote a safe working environment

Skills

- Robust mechanical knowledge of marine engines, propulsion systems, and related machinery
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and socket sets
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, impact wrenches, and pneumatic tools
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report on maintenance activities
