Production Worker – Multi-Department (Entry Level)
Efcon Imports – Port Coquitlam, BC
Permanent – Full Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Wage: $18.25/hour

Position Summary

The employee in this position supports multiple production areas, including the powder room, syrup bottling and preparation, and dehydrated fruits sections.

The employee will be trained in each department and may be rotated based on operational needs. Performance will be evaluated by each section lead.

This position involves bottling, labeling, packaging, scaling products, maintaining cleanliness, and performing basic equipment operation and maintenance, ensuring all equipment is operated safely and in strict accordance with company safety procedures and guidelines. The employee is expected to be a quick learner, follow instructions and procedures strictly, and maintain high standards of hygiene and accuracy at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Processing

- Follow instructions provided by the team lead for each assigned department
- Assist in the preparation, handling, and processing of syrups, powders, and/or dehydrated fruits
- Support production tasks according to daily schedules and priorities

Bottling, Filling & Handling

- Fill bottles manually or using filling equipment depending on production needs
- Transfer materials safely into equipment (liquids or dry products as required)
- Ensure correct materials, components, and packaging are used

Scaling & Accuracy

- Weigh and scale products to ensure accurate and consistent quantities




- Confirm counts and measurements meet production requirements

Labeling, Coding & Packaging

- Apply labels neatly and accurately
- Apply correct lot codes to bottles, bags, and boxes
- Package syrups and/or powders or dehydrated fruits according to specifications
- Stack finished goods on pallets or dollies following proper patterns
- Ensure no leftover materials from previous batches remain

Documentation

- Record production quantities and activities as required
- Report shortages, discrepancies, or issues to the team lead

Tools & Equipment
(Training provided; experience is an asset)

- Pallet jack
- Tape gun
- Transfer pump
- Box sealer
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment as required
- Perform basic daily maintenance (inspection and greasing)
- Ensure protected operation of all equipment in accordance with company procedures
- Report any equipment issues to the supervisor

Cleaning & Hygiene

- Clean all tools, equipment, and work areas after use
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace throughout the shift
- Follow all hygiene protocols (gloves, hairnets, masks, etc.)
- Handle food products according to safety and sanitation standards

Teamwork & Flexibility





- Work collaboratively with different teams across departments
- Be flexible and rotate between production areas as required
- Assist in any position to maintain workflow continuity
- Ensure materials and supplies are prepared in advance
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized production environment

Requirements

Education & Work Eligibility

- High School Diploma
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

Skills & Abilities

- Fluent in English (reading, speaking, and writing)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions precisely
- Ability to follow procedures strictly and consistently
- High level of personal hygiene and cleanliness
- Reliable transportation to work
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to lift 4 kg to

Experience

- No degree or advanced education required
- Experience in production, warehouse, food processing, or packaging is an asset
- Full training provided
