About MOUV

Mouv is a queer-owned movement studio and community space offering Pilates, yoga, and movement experiences. This fall, we're expanding to include a café serving specialty coffee, beverages, and thoughtfully prepared sandwiches.

Our space is designed to be a place to move, gather, refuel, and connect. Through our classes, café, events, and community programming, we create opportunities for people to care for themselves while building meaningful connections.

Position Overview

The Sandwich Prep Cook is responsible for preparing and assembling our café menu while maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen.

This role combines food preparation, kitchen organization, and quality control to ensure every item leaving the kitchen is consistent, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared.

Both full time and part-time positions are available depending on availability and operational needs.

Compensation:

$22.00/hour + tips

FoodSafe Level 1 is needed.

Opening shift: 8:00pm - 4:00pm
Mid shift:



10:00am- 4:00pm

- Has previous food preparation or kitchen experience
- Has a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation
- Takes pride in preparing quality food
- Is organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Works independently and takes initiative
- Communicates clearly and proactively
- Maintains high standards of cleanliness and consistency
- Enjoys collaborating with a small team

Primary Responsibilities

Food Preparation

- Prepare ingredients and café menu items
- Assemble sandwiches consistently and efficiently
- Follow recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
- Label, date, store, and rotate ingredients
- Monitor freshness and communicate inventory needs

Kitchen Operations

- Maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Complete opening and closing procedures
- Restock supplies and support inventory management
- Minimize food waste through thoughtful preparation and storage
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures

Opening Timeline

Our new Mouv Studio + Café is expected to open mid to late October.

We're hiring early to allow time for onboarding and team training, beginning mid to late September.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
