Early Childhood Educator (ECE) – Full-Time

About the Position

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our small, home-based childcare program in Cloverdale, Surrey.

This is an opportunity for an ECE who enjoys working in a warm, supportive environment and building meaningful relationships with children and families.

Responsibilities

- Provide nurturing, responsive care to children
- Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, stories, music, outdoor play, and learning activities
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
- Actively supervise children and follow health and safety procedures
- Assist with meals, rest time, toileting, and daily routines
- Respond to children’s individual needs and interests
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with parents/guardians
- Work cooperatively with the childcare provider
- Follow applicable childcare policies and licensing requirements

Qualifications

- Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certification in British Columbia




- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Criminal Record Check required
- Knowledge of child development and early learning practices
- Experience working with children of different ages is an asset
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, patient, caring, and responsible
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Genuine interest in supporting young children’s learning and development

Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
