Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various electrical systems and be proficient in reading blueprints and schematics. If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for electrical work, we want to hear from you.

The Journeyperson – Electrician role is considered a senior leadership role in the company and the details of the job are listed below. Most of the work will be performed in Fredericton and surrounding area but there will be times the employee will travel to other cities in New Brunswick. After-hours work is possible based on the project and is typically planned in advance. At times, there are emergency calls that are shared on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for planning, laying out, installing and wiring electrical components as per project plans, specifications and in accordance with applicable electrical codes;

· Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, conduits, feeders, fixtures and other electrical components;

· Test electrical equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance;

· Participate in and at times, lead safety meetings;

· Oversee the work and job performance of Apprentice Electricians;





· Ensure ongoing attention to work-site safety, standards and legislation;

· Control inventory in the van, job-site and shop;

· Maintain a clean and orderly working environment, directing and teaching Apprentice Electricians how to leave a job site;

· Detect needed repairs on buildings, grounds and equipment following inspection procedures and complete inspection when job is completed;

· Solid communication with other employees, owners and customers;

· Provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

· Licensed Journeyperson Electrician;

· Valid Driver’s License;

· Work Platform, Fall Arrest and Confined Spaces certifications;

· Proficient in knowledge and practice of Canadian Electrical Code.

Nice to have:

· Bilingual (English / French)

· WHMIS training and certification

· First Aid training and certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00-$36.00 per hour
