Overview:
As a Contents Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals or families affected by losses such as fire, flood, or other disasters by assessing, moving, cleaning, and storing their home contents. You will work with empathy, attention to detail, and efficiency to ensure the safe handling and preservation of personal belongings during challenging times.

Responsibilities:

- Assessment and Documentation:
- Conduct thorough assessments of damaged home contents, noting their condition and level of damage.
- Document inventory meticulously, including descriptions, photographs, and any pertinent details for insurance claims.
- Safe Handling and Packing:
- Safely move and handle various types of personal belongings, including furniture, electronics, clothing, and sentimental items.
- Pack items securely for transport, ensuring proper protection to minimize further damage.
- Cleaning and Restoration:
- Utilize appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment to restore salvageable items to their pre-loss condition.
- Collaborate with restoration specialists as needed for specialized cleaning or restoration processes.
- Storage and Organization:
- Organize and categorize items for storage, maintaining detailed records of their location and condition.
- Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent further deterioration of belongings.
- Client Communication:
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on the status of their belongings and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.




- Offer compassionate support and guidance throughout the contents restoration process.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks of injury or property damage during contents handling and restoration.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and best practices related to contents restoration and insurance claims processing.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in contents restoration, moving, or related fields preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in emotionally charged situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment, and materials used in contents restoration.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Job Types: Full time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 45 per week
