Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Cement Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing touches to concrete surfaces, ensuring they meet quality standards and project specifications. Your expertise will help create durable, smooth, and aesthetically pleasing concrete structures for a variety of construction projects. Duties

- Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and edgers to achieve the desired surface texture and appearance.
- Operate power tools including power trowels, screeds, and grinders to expedite the finishing process.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements and ensure accurate execution.
- Assist with rebar installation, concrete forming, masonry work, and carpentry tasks as needed to support overall project progress.
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling safely to transport concrete materials or equipment around the site.
- Apply caulking or sealing compounds for joints or cracks in concrete surfaces during restoration or renovation projects.
- Use heavy equipment such as mixers or compactors when necessary to prepare or finish large-scale concrete surfaces.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while operating hand tools, power tools,



or heavy machinery on-site.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in concrete finishing, masonry, or general construction work with a strong understanding of construction processes.
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation, power tools, schematics, and blueprint reading.
- Skilled in rebar installation, concrete forming, flooring installation, welding, and restoration techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as trowels, floats, caulking guns, and masonry tools; experience with power tools is essential.
- Knowledge of renovation and remodeling practices including flooring installation and structural repairs.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship skills in concrete finishing and surface smoothing.
- Effective communication skills for reading schematics and collaborating with team members on complex projects.
