Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our team, responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with on-site repairs, coaches and semis. This role requires solid mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and the ability to think on the fly. The Heavy Duty Mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency and safety across our fleet.

This will be a fly in- fly out opportunity for 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on coaches
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools as needed
- Conduct welding and assembly tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery
- Troubleshoot AC systems and electrical components within the equipment
- Change tires




- Conduct heavy lifting operations safely to move parts or machinery during repairs
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections/CVIP inspections
- Communicating repair status and recommendations effectively

Qualifications

- Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment
- Field experience is highly preferred
- Proficiency in welding, electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and hydraulic repair techniques
- Ability to operate vehicles safely and perform heavy lifting tasks
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic testing devices
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of maintenance procedures and troubleshooting methods
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills

Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour
